haldenreefa started from a straightforward observation: data center teams in Malaysia were spending significant money on cooling and power infrastructure without a clear picture of whether their current layouts were working well, or what adjustments would help most as compute loads changed.
The business was founded in Petaling Jaya to serve precisely that gap — not as a contractor or licensed engineering firm, but as an advisory practice that sits alongside operations teams and helps them think clearly about airflow, thermal zones, and power capacity before decisions get locked in.
The name reflects our approach. A reef is a structured environment that channels flow — of water, of life, of energy — into something functional and sustainable. We apply that thinking to facilities: understanding how air moves through a room, where heat builds, and how power draw maps across racks is a spatial, structured problem. We treat it that way.
Since opening, we have worked with IT operations leads and facilities managers across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and beyond — at organisations running their own data rooms through to teams managing shared colocation space. Each engagement is scoped to what the team actually needs, not a fixed package applied regardless of context.
